Fire Academy
All full-time new hires participate in a 12-week, in-house taught Fire Academy. Components of the Academy include physical conditioning, academics, and practical applications in firefighting including various fire scenarios and evolutions. Instilling Rural/ Metro Fire’s commitment on teamwork, professionalism, attitude and compassion is also an important part of the 12-week program.
